A good education system is the most important thing for human beings. It gives people new knowledge and maintains good relationships with others. It can also be used as a map to determine the future of people because with a good level of education they will get a better job. As is the case in Finland, this country has the best education system in the world. Indonesia as a developing country has similarities and differences about the education system with Finland.
Compulsory education and education system progress reports in Indonesia and Finland are almost identical. Finland requires everyone to get an education up to college to get them government to free tuition fees from primary school to college. Almost the same as Indonesia, the government requires people to get an education and the government also frees their tuition fees even to high school. Another similarity is when the end of the second semester of schools in Finland and Indonesia will invite parents to come to school to get information about student progress and discuss the next steps that will be applied to teach students related to previous semester reports.
Although the education system in Indonesia and Finland have similarities they also have differences in teachers and teaching methods, uniforms and also national examinations.
The methods of teaching in Indonesia are dominated by one-way methods such as lectures that make students bored and difficult to follow the learning process. Students also get a lot of homework that makes them unable to enjoy their free time at home because they have to do homework. On the other hand, in Finland teachers apply the method of "fun learning" by creating a good atmosphere in the classroom so that students will enjoy the learning process. For example, teachers allow students to conduct group discussions, give them motivation and never give them homework. Another difference is about the uniform.
In Indonesia, the government decided to distinguish uniforms at every level of education. In contrast, the Finnish government gave students the freedom to wear uniforms to school. Another area of difference between education systems in these countries is the national exam. In Indonesia at every level of education students must take a national examination stipulating that they will continue to the next level of education or not. However, in Finland students take national exams only at the end of high school as a way to continue their education to university. The last difference is in Indonesia the teachers have just graduated S1, but in Finland, the teachers have to complete their graduate education and only the top ten graduates can become teachers.

In conclusion, the education system in Finland is the best system that not only guides and teaches students to develop their skills but also builds good student character through good systems and qualified teachers. That is why Finland is a country with the best education system in the world. Indonesia should adopt an educational system in Finland to make Indonesia able to create intelligent and character people with a good education system.
